An eye for details. A love of entertaining. A passion for planning. Over the past five years, I've had the honor of planning weddings throughout central Indiana. As principal planner of April Foster Events, I've been blessed to share special memories and build wonderful relationships with many couples. For ten years and counting, I've served as a mental health specialist in the National Guard. While this may seem like an unusual background for a wedding planner, my time in the Army has given me a great understanding of people in stressful situations (which comes in handy). I'm also a proud graduate of Indiana University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in event management. My number one piece of advice to engaged couples is simply to let your wedding be a reflection of yourselves. You don't have to match the wedding you say in Brides Magazine or on Martha Stewart Weddings online. Letting your personality shine though at your wedding makes it much more memorable.When I'm not planning events, I'm usually entertaining friends and family, reading, running, practicing yoga, or shopping for hidden treasures at antique stores around Indy. But my favorite way to spend my free time is with my husband Neil and our dogs Sara and Samson.
